january = birthdays

after feeling like i was on a merry-go-round for weeks while getting ready for christmas, i finally stepped off, feeling able to give out a large sigh and ready to enjoy the holiday ...

only to remember today, that january = birthdays +++

get back on that merry-go-round and crank up that sewing machine....

from this book of ancient classics...we made this for a niece....the youngest in a family of girls, who always wears pre-loved attire...there is nothing wrong with pre-loved, it is just nice to have your own every now and again, so the sisters cant say "i used to wear that"....
i say we made it, because it was a combined effort with the crafty 15 year old that is enjoying school holidays at the moment....
its such fun sewing with someone else who is helping direct the final outcome...
now to wrap it, pack it, post it and move onto the next gift...
