home james

the london eye.....

hampstead heath..east entrance..

how lovely to be back in familiar surroundings...
london was unchanged from my last visit many years ago...
people everywhere..( you have to remember i live on a farm with nearest neighbours 10kms away)
four seasons in one day....grey sky's most days...cold...but so picturesque...
its good to be home and back into some sewing already...

a communion dress for my god child for this weekend...

i started with the jacket....
simple gathered neckline and 3/4 gathered sleeves.
quick and easy to make with no alterations needed, phew...
McCalls M5634
the fabric is self pattern spot...as you can see...100% cotton, and just divine to work with.....
the whitest of white....
the dress i will make tonight tonight..... when i cant sleep.....
my body clock still seems to be on london time....

It's nice to go away but always nicer to come home where everything is familiar.
Can't wait to see it all complete. The fabric is beautiful.
